Pony rides are back for our first Sunday Shindig of 2024

The ponies are back - get up and close to these magnificent animals and take a trot around the green at our next Sunday Shindig.

You asked for it on our socials, and here it is... After their popularity at our last Sunday Shindig, the ponies will be back on the A-green for our first Sunday Shindig for 2024.

There are limited places - pre-book online to skip the queue over here. Thanks to the folk at Trindee's horse and pony events.

Inside the Koala Room will be our post-Christmas jumble sale, with food trucks, craft beers and bowls on our couch-grass bowling green.

Keep an eye on our socials and website as we'll be announcing more entertainment for the event shortly.

I hope this message finds you well and looking forward to an amazing 2024! As your newly appointed President, I am excited to connect with you and share some key updates and opportunities that will shape the future of our community hub.

New Leadership - A Warm Welcome

It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself, Gavin Hull, your new President. Residing in Moorooka with my family, I bring previous not-for-profit experience from the UK and Sydney. My commitment is to engage our entire community, ensuring The Clubhouse is a welcoming space for all. As your member representative, together with fellow committee members, I am here to lead our strategy, overseeing new developments, fundraising, and operations in alignment with your priorities and community needs.

Farewell to Dedicated Board Members:
A huge thank you to our outgoing board members, Brooke Sinclair (Treasurer), Allira Thompson (Secretary), and Tim Auguston (General Member) and our outgoing president, Pauline Bell. Your hard work and dedication have brought us to where we are today - an incredible vibrant club!

Thankfully, Pauline is staying on as a General Member to continue to share her wealth of knowledge.

Our new committee comprises seven members, including five fresh faces, eager to contribute to our community: Gavin Hull (President), Paul Tobin, Craig Allen, Anthony Aquilina, Kai O’Farrell, Shaylee Colley and Pauline Bell.

Venue Manager Opportunity - Join Our Team:

We're actively seeking a Venue Manager for a12-month contract role. This 15-20-hour per week position is a chance to make a real difference to our community. Position description and applications details can be found here. Please spread the word!

Membership Renewal - Join Us on Our Journey:

Two years ago we embarked on our first membership drive. The rate at which our community got behind our cause was heartwarming and provided much needed funds to kickstart our journey.
 At our recent AGM we passed a motion to align memberships to 12 months (initially they were 2 year memberships). Stay tuned for more details on how to renew your membership and get behind your local!

Finally, I would like to extend deep thanks to our dedicated volunteers who contribute to the growth of our club. I’m looking forward to connecting with you all in the new year.
